While looking around for olive drab cars the other day, we stumbled across the picture above. A Scion xB with custom pick-up conversion! Actually, no. It’s a Toyota bB Open Deck, a from-the-factory motor that Toyota seemingly offered to some Asian markets.
The olive drab version may have a few modifications, including the colour, but that chopped off bit at the back is all standard. What’s more it does some pretty cool stuff:
The closest equivalent we’ve ever had in the UK is probably the Skoda Felicia Fun, the little yellow pick-up that celebrated the VW buyout of Skoda with some frog print trim and a rear bulkhead that slide back onto the truck bed to add two open-air seats. But the Toyota is even cooler and actually a whole lot more practical. Shame it never came our way.
